MACHER MARVIN J. Age 70, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013. Born August 1, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Maurice and Vera (Wilders) Macher. Marvin proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and had the pleasure of sharing his favorite pastime with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Margaret A. (Palchesko) Macher, whom he married on April 24, 1965; his five children, Kimberly (Richard) Thomas, Christopher Macher, David (Lisa) Macher, Michael (Shari) Macher and Matthew (Tara) Macher; his two sisters, Marlene Macher and Dolly Macher; his 14 grandchildren, Jamie, Erinn, Brittany, Joshua, Kassandra, Marvin, Gabrielle, Michael, Kobe, Shea, Jon, Brian, Danny, and Ethan; and his three great-grandchildren, Lilyan, Layla and Bailey. In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Macher; and his brother, Blaine Macher. Services and Interment will be held privately by the Macher family. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township.
