WHEELER FRED Age 99, of Forest Hills, formerly of North Versailles, died peacefully at Washington Commons Personal Care Home in Bridgeville on Monday, September 16, 2013. He will be remembered as the loving husband of Eileen Boddington Wheeler and Alice Smith Wheeler; proud father of Judy (Paul) Kennell of Cincinnati, OH, Vernon (Elaine) Wheeler of Raleigh, NC, Freda (Alex) Dempster of Green Tree, and Leslie (the late James) Freeman of Jeannette; also survived by his brother, Gordon Wheeler of Ashtabula, OH; seven grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was a machinist, supervisor and foreman at Westinghouse Electric Corporation for 35 years; an active member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church of Wilkinsburg; and achieved status of a 32nd degree Mason while a member of the East McKeesport Masonic Lodge. He was an accomplished craftsman/carpenter and world traveler. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., corner of (118) Shaw & Triboro Avenues, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950), where a service will be Friday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Church Hill Cemetery.
