BETLYN CHARLES W. 77, of Canonsburg, North Strabane Twp., died Saturday, November 16, 2013, in Heritage Valley, Sewickley. He was born April 14, 1936, in Moon Twp., a son of the late John and Stella (Lorene) Betlyn. Mr. Betlyn was a corporate pilot for Blanox Corp., National Steel Corp. and flew with the Saudia Airlines for the private sector for the Shaeikes and was a member of the Air National Guard and the Naval Reserves Seabees. He was a member Zion Lutheran Church in Coraopolis and F&AM Masonic Lodge of Coraopolis #674. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Mary Jane (Webb) Betlyn; son, US Army Lt. Col. Thomas J. (Chandra) Betlyn of Ellwood City and daughter, Becky E. Betlyn of Findlay Twp.; sisters and brother, Dorothy Betlyn, Rachel (Adam) Azzizi and Carolyn Betlyn, all of Moon Twp., Dinah (Bryce) Mutch of GA; brother, Daniel (Nancy) Betlyn of WV. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Betlyn. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the THOMAS - LITTLE FUNERAL SERVICE, INC., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800) where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Robinson Church Cemetery, Bulger.
