STAUB RONALD G. Age 86, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013, while under the care of the St. John's Specialty Care Center in Mars. Born July 29, 1927 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Jacob and Mary (Geyer) Staub Gunning. Ron proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. For most of his life he worked as a self-employed carpenter. A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening vegetables, and maintaining his cars. He dearly treasured his grandson, Jacob. Above all, Ron was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 62 years, Jacqueline (Hilf) Staub, of Zelienople; his son, Ronald J. Staub and his wife, Lorraine M., of Jackson Twp.; his grandson, Jacob Staub; and his brother, Richard J. Staub and his wife, Lillian. A Funeral Ceremony with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013 at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 324 E. Grandview Avenue, Zelienople, with Rev. John Hoogerbrugge officiating. Ron will be laid to rest at Chartiers Cemetery in Carnegie.
