MAYER DAIVD M. On Thursday, December 5, 2013. Beloved husband of Jean Louise Stoehr; father of David (Allison) Mayer; and grandfather of Sarah and Dylan. David graduated from Peabody High School and Indiana University of PA with a degree in Secondary English Education. He obtained a Master of Arts in English from the University of Pittsburgh after serving with the Peace Corps in West Africa. He spent his time in the Pittsburgh public schools, mostly at Taylor Allderdice teaching English with creative writing being his favorite class. David was fortunate to have had some of the brightest, most creative and humored students in Western PA.
