MOODY MARILYN J. On Friday, December 6, 2013, age 79, of Mars. Born in Butler, PA on January 8, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mona Haun Shermer. Beloved wife of Monte R. Moody, who she married on August 11, 1956; loving mother of Barbara Smith and Jody Kennedy, both of Mars, Bruce Moody of Saxonburg, William Moody and his wife, Julie, of Mars, Montgomery Moody of Zelienople, and Scott Moody and his wife, Monique, of Sarver. Also ten grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and her sister, Norma McCarthy of Duluth, MN. Marilyn had been the co-owner and secretary/treasurer of the family business, M.R. Moody Sales and Service in Mars. She was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church, and in her younger years had taught Sunday School, and had been a cub scout leader and den mother. She enjoyed shopping, painting and crafting, reading, and had a passion for cooking. She also did Silver Sneakers at Penn-Mar Plaza. Friends will be received at the McDONALD - AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, PA on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
