SILVIO ALBERT BO Age 79, of Plum Borough, passed away on January 21, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Bo was the beloved husband for 58 years of Catherine Kay Silvio; father of Anna (John) Ball, Marie (Jeff) Orr, and Angelo (Kelly Jo) Silvio; Pappy to Daniel (Kimberly) Silvio, Matthew (Brianna) Silvio, Brittany Silvio, Karmen Silvio, Angela Silvio, Alyssa Kerchner, Cody Orr, and Brandy Orr; great-Pappy to Christopher Ball, Callie Jendeski, and Leigha Orr. He is also the brother of Louise (NeNe) Henderson; and was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. He retired from the Equitable Gas Company, where he worked for 32 years, 28 of which he was a foreman. Bo joined the Order of Italian Sons and Daughters of America in 1972 and has been a faithful member ever since. He was President of the Frank DiLeo Lodge #219 for 27 years. He also served as District Vice President of Western Pennsylvania for 14 years. Bo served 11 years as the chairperson of Italian Day at Kennywood Park, where the Order of Italian Sons and Daughters of America host over 900 special needs children and their supervisors. Bo has also been involved with the Columbus Day Parade and participated since its inception. He helped with, and served as, Christopher Columbus on his float, the Santa Maria.
