SWANEY DONALD R. Age 81, of Valencia, formerly of Plum, on Friday, January 17, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Georgetta (Geisler) Swaney; loving father of Jeffrey (Norma) Swaney and Jill (Michael Davidson) Caton; grandfather of Lisa Swaney, Brian Swaney and Joshua Caton; brother of the late Ruth Moon, Pearl Schmitt, James Swaney and Robert Swaney; also survived by nieces and nephews. Mr. Swaney proudly served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He was a long-term employee of Bell of Pennsylvania and was a loyal volunteer for the Plum Borough Chapter #3067 of AARP and his church, the United Presbyterian Church of Universal. Private interment with immediate family will be in Plum Creek Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church of Universal, 2545 Main St., Penn Hills, PA 15235.
