
SIMCIC MARGARET MARGE (KROTEC) Age 85, of Mt. Lebanon, on Thursday, January 23, 2014. Beloved wife for 56 years of the late Nicholas F. Simcic, Jr.; devoted mother of Nicholas III, Peggy (Mike) Milnes, Mary Jane (Tim) Swenson, Paul (Chris), Mary Ann (Brian) Tarbert, Robert, Gregory (Grace) and the late Dr. Kenneth J. Simcic (Mary); sister of Joseph Krotec, Frances Miller, Albert, Richard and the late Helen Krotec; also survived by fifteen grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, nieces and nephews. Marge served in the US Navy during the Korean conflict as a 3rd Class Radioman at the Navy Air Station in Norfolk, VA. She was formerly a teacher with the Diocese of Pittsburgh and active in the Pro-Life Movement. In addition, Marge was very involved at St. Bernard Parish as a member of the Christian Mothers and a Eucharistic Minister. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher. Friends will be welcomed at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Bernard Church Friday morning at 10 o'clock.
