CHAMBERLAIN FRANK A., Jr. 47, passed away peacefully at home in Murrysville, Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, with his loving family at his side. He was born May 27, 1966, in Pittsburgh, son of Franklin A. Chamberlain, Sr. and his wife, Vivian, of Florida, and Sophia (Daykon) Houck and her husband, Louis, of Fox Chapel. In addition to his parents, Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Christine; daughters, Nicole and Courtney; a sister, April Chamberlain-Simpson and her husband, Guy, of State College; nieces, Chloe and Ella; and a nephew, Max. Frank's greatest joy was being involved with his daughters' activities, especially coaching his daughter Courtney's softball team and watching Nicole's ice skating competitions. He loved classic cars and dirt car racing, in which he competed in many racing events at Marion Center Speedway for five years. He was also an avid model builder and as a result, won many awards. Frank was also a bicycling enthusiast. During the summer of 2001, accompanied by his brother-in-law, Guy Simpson and cousin, Greg Glovach, he participated in the 500 Mile Bike Ride, Ragbrai across the State of Iowa. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Murrysville. By the family's request, everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Interment will be held privately for the family at a later date.
