KIBSEY TWILA (LEHMAN) Age 92, of Dormont, on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Wife of the late Nicholas C. Kibsey; loving mother of Richard Charles Kibsey of Mt. Lebanon and Cindy (Gary) Soltys of Latrobe; grandmother of J.T. Soltys; sister of Evelyn Williams, Billie Forsha, Dwight "Buzz" Lehman and the late Violet Sacra, Marjorie Felton and Roberta Neuhof; also survived by nieces and nephews. An amazing mother and grandmother, Twila served others in many unheralded ways. She retired as secretary to the director of business and transportation of Keystone Oaks School District on January 30, 1991 at age 70. As a life long member of the Church of the Brethren, she served the Pittsburgh Church of the Brethren as church secretary for many years and also sang in the church choir. Twila regularly attended a Keystone Oaks School District Retiree group and managed their address list and a gift account. Similarly, she served the community by giving her time taking neighbor and friend shut-ins shopping or by shopping for them. In her later retirement she joined Curves and exercised there regularly until age 91. She loved her family and friends and gave selflessly of herself to them. Friends may call at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Friday from 10:30 until time of services at 11 a.m. in the Arbutus Church of the Brethren, 1201 Erikson Drive, Johnstown, PA 15904. Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery. Please, in lieu of flowers, contribute to her favorite charity, Heifer Project International, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72202.
