Beloved husband of Constance Grace Osterholt; father of Donna Marie Meltzer of Colorado Springs, Connie Grace Ryan (Ron) of Columbus, OH, Michael Francis Osterholt (Dorothy) of Pittsburgh, and the late John D. Osterholt III; grandfather of Tracie Ann Angeletti (Jeff); great-grandfather of Brendan Albert Christy and Ryan Michael Christy; brother of the late Jeanne Jewell and Mary Ellen Packer; uncle of Clifford, Patrick, Geoffrey (Mary Ann), John, Susan, Tom, and the late Darrell; also survived by two great-nieces. Mr. Osterholt was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving with the 14th Armored Division during World War II.
