MISITIS JAN HENRY 73, of Melbourne, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. He was born to Mary Hryniszak and Frank Joseph Misitis on November 2, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Duquesne University, University of Miami and Florida International University. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961 and graduated from officer's candidate school. He served in Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and Panama. He was very proud of his Special Forces military service. He enjoyed diving, wood carving and antique bottle collecting. He is survived by his wife, Mary Mangan Misitis; two brothers, Frank and wife, Lois of Pittsburgh, PA, Paul and wife, Lois of West Hickory, PA; sister, Carole Misitis of Pittsburgh; three step-children; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
