
DAVIDSON ALEX C. LEX JR. Age 96, and longtime resident of Friendship Village of the South Hills, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on November 30, 1917. He graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1935 and in 1939 received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago where he was affiliated with Phi Delta Theta. He was recruited by U.S. Steel where he worked until his retirement, with the exception of five years, when he was a Special Agent of the F.B.I. Alex was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Spohn Davidson, in 1995, after 54 years of marriage; his second wife, Jane McNeely Davidson, in 2005; his son, Alex C. "Dave" Davidson III in 2009; and both his sisters, Bobbie Jean Neumeister and Marion Millett Tschiemer. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara D. Haring (Ronald) of State College, PA; his stepson, Timothy McNeely of Pittsburgh, PA; his stepdaughter, Susan Austin of Plano, TX; his grandchildren, David S. Haring (Jennifer) of Cheyenne, WY and Jennifer L.H. Kaminski (Scott) of Richmond, VA; and three great-grandchildren, Lane S. Haring, Dominick Cockrell and Jack E. Kaminski.
