Beloved husband of the late Gladys Nelson for 62 years; loving father of Tom (Carolyn) Nelson, Amy (Terry) Nelson-Lang, and the late Kirk Nelson; proud grandfather of Matt Nelson, Summer (Matt) Nelson Pridemore, and Kamden Lang. Swede was a member of the First Baptist Church. Swede took joy in having conversations and spending time with people. His Christian Faith was obvious to those who knew him.
