SMITH RICHARD EARL, Jr. Age 64, of Edgewood, formerly of Wilkinsburg, passed away at his residence, on April 5, 2014. Beloved husband of Maureen (O'Leary) Smith; adored son of the late Richard E., Sr. and Frances (DeVito) Smith; loving father of Richard (Shiela) Smith, Kristen Smith, Amanda (Mark) Allebach, and Bernie (Myndy) Smith; doting grandfather of Rylee, Grace, Mason, Ava-Rose; brother of the late Stella (surviving, Tim) Creamer. Richard retired after 40 years of dedicated service to the Allegheny County Juvenile Probation System as a Probation Officer and Drug and Alcohol Unit Specialist. He was a longtime member of the ISDA and the Wilkins Elks, Lodge 577. Friends will be received Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC.
