JARVIE JOHN Age 92, of Sewickley, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014. Born June 13, 1921, in Caulder Bank, Scotland, son of the late Alexander and Jane Cloe (Gray) Jarvie. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine R. (Steffenauer) Jarvie; loving father of William Jarvie of Portersville, PA, Thomas (Renee) Jarvie of Aleppo Twp., PA, Craig Jarvie of Boynton Beach, FL, and Amy Jarvie of Leetsdale; grandfather of Emily, Rebecca, Melissa, Stephanie, Eric, and Kristen; great- grandfather of Mae, Abigail, Joseph, Jr., and Ava; brother of Janet Jarvie of Edgeworth and the late William Jarvie; and brother-in-law of Dorothy Von Hofen of Sewickley. John was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II, a template maker for American Bridge, a member of the American Legion of Sewickley and the Mariner's of PA-New Castle and enjoyed gardening and landscaping. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. COPELAND'S SEWICKLEY, 702 Beaver St., where a service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment Sewickley Cemetery.
