PULGINI ELVIRA Age 93 of Donora, PA, died on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Monongahela Valley Hospital in Carroll Twp. She was born Monday, September 13, 1920, in Wilpen, PA, the daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Fantone) Ventura. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Donora, PA. In addition to her parents, Elvira was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Pulgini; four sisters, Jane Ciotti, Mary Irdi, Delphina Carlino and Stella Fagnelli; and five brothers, Achille, Arthur, John, James and Raymond Ventura. Surviving are daughter, Elizabeth (Herb) Shaffer of Perryopolis, PA; sons, Joseph (Cynthia) Pulgini of Shaler Twp. and Michael Pulgini of Donora; four grandchildren, Melisa (Scott) Pulgini-Tennet, Vaughn (Heather) Pulgini, Priscilla (Ken) Trail, and John (Kathleen) McDonough; five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Joseph, Lorenzo, Harper, and Riley; two sisters, Amelia Kuziel of Pittsburgh and Annie Garipoli of Verona; a brother, Samuel Ventura of Ross Twp; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 9, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the ANTHONY L.
