GIDES EDWARD GEORGE Age 59, of Woodland Hills, CA, formerly of Pittsburgh, beloved husband and father, passed away on July 4, 2013. He died peacefully at West Hills Hospital in West Hills, CA. Ed was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 4, 1953. He graduated from Lawrenceville Catholic High School and continued on to receive a certificate in Photography from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Ed was married to Joan (Krauland) Gides on May 10, 1974. They were married for 39 years. Ed is survived by his son, Jason (Lori); two daughters, Kirstan (Mark) Villasenor and Kimberly Gides; beloved grandchild, Luca; also survived by sister, Cynthia (John) Bendick and their children, Carly and Cory; mother-in-law, Josephine Krauland; as well as many loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dolores Kmieciak Gides. Ed was a good-hearted and loving man who had a great sense of humor that brought smiles to all who knew him.
