ANASTAS SOPHIE Age 89, of Duquesne, on June 25, 2013, at home. Daughter of the late Milan and Euphemia (Pisivovich) Anastas. Graduate of West Minster College with a degree in accounting and was retired from the Federal Reserve Bank in Pittsburgh. She also assisted in the family businesses by doing bookkeeping and accounting. She was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in McKeesport. She also served as the Board Secretary for the church. She was a Sunday school teacher at the church and member of their Kola. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Michael Bricky Anastas, Boyko (the late Ann) Anastas, Mary (the late Robert) McLean. Survived by sister-in-law, Helen Anastas of Duquesne; also nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great- nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Visitation Saturday, 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-8 p.m. at the MALOY - SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., 412-466-3300. Funeral Monday, Pomen Service at the funeral home at 10 a.m. followed by Burial Service at 10:30 a.m. at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial will be in McKeesport - Versailles Cemetery.
