DeCESARE THOMAS J. 80, formerly of Forest Hills, PA, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in New Waterford, Ohio. Thomas was born on September 24, 1932 in Swissvale, PA to parents, Nicholas and Mary DeCesare. After graduating from Swissvale High School, he apprenticed at his father's company, Fabricators Service. Tom went on to work at Swindell Dressler in Pittsburgh, PA and U.S. Steel in Braddock, PA, then started the engineering department at Eichley Corp. in Pittsburgh, where he was project manager in both engineering and construction. In earlier years, Tom ran the baseball leagues for both boys and girls in Forest Hills, PA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a community volunteer at the parks and veterans Administration in Forest Hills, PA and Seminole, FL. Tom liked to golf and loved to play pool at the senior center in Pinellas Park, FL. He also enjoyed playing cards and performing magic tricks for children. Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Barrett DeCesare; and his children, Tami (Robert) Harris, Thomas (Katherine) DeCesare, Janet (George) DeCesare-Faber, and Nicholas (Susan) DeCesare. Surviving also are his grandchildren, Gregory and Mark Harris, Amanda and Allison DeCesare, and Thomas, George and Olivia DeCesare. Tom also leaves his brother, Francis (Jeanne) DeCesare. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard DeCesare; sister-in-law, Helen DeCesare; and his grandson, Jaison Thomas Harris.
