McKISSOCK CHARLES EDWARD Age 88, of Zelienople, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013, while under the care of the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford. Born January 18, 1925, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late William and Olive (Roth) McKissock. Charles was a member of the Grace Church of Harmony. He placed great importance on his faith in the Lord and being active in his church. Charles graduated from Allegheny High School and was driven to pursue a career in law. He attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he graduated in 1952. Charles enjoyed working as an attorney in the Pittsburgh area for many years. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Patterson) McKissock; his three children, Jeffrey C. McKissock and his wife, Sue of Gatesville, TX, Kathleen Thompson and her husband, Henry of Zelienople, and Keith E. McKissock and his wife, Rhonda of Nolensville, TN; his half-brother, Richard McKissock and his wife, Sandi of Shaler, PA; and his seven grandchildren, Chas, Ashleigh, Hannah, Joshua, Jacob, Jessica, and Kaitlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill McKissock. Charles' family will welcome friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 324 E. Grandview Avenue, Zelienople, PA 16063. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at the Grace Church of Harmony with Rev. Peter J. Everett, officiating. (Friends please meet at church). He will be laid to rest at the Allegheny County Memorial Park.
