Daughter of the late Peter and Barbara Zemledic; loving mom of Beverly (Darryl) Ridge and the late Michael Hegland; special grandma of Jennifer (Jonathan) Hetrick and Keith Ridge; great- grandma of Ashley Hetrick; sister of the late Steve, John, and Paul Zemledick, Anna Grossman, Mildred Gligonic, and Stella Thompson; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. LASKOVICH PAUL CHARLES “BUTCH” Age 71, of Franklin, PA, formerly of Hampton Township, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014. He was the son of the late Paul and Beatrice (Helton) Laskovich. Butch was a former resident of Hampton Twp. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid during the Cuban Missile Crisis and recovering U.S. astronaut Scott Carpenter at sea. Butch founded ABC Glass, Inc. and later Franklin Glass and he also owned the Grant Street Bar & Grill in Franklin. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 83, American Legion Post 0945, and the F&AM. Butch loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and golf. He is survived by his sons, Keith (Maureen) Laskovich, Kevin C. Laskovich, and their mother, Marguerite A. (Seibert) Laskovich, all of Hampton Twp.; brother, David A. Laskovich of Pensacola, FL; and his loving dog, Vicky. He was predeceased by his parents. The family would like to thank all the personnel at UPMC-Northwest for their excellent care. Mr. Laskovich's family will welcome friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at the KING FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park. LHOTA CHARLES GEORGE Age 89, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Ross Township, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014, while under the care of the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford. Born February 23, 1925, in Pittsburgh, his parents, John A. Lhota, Jr. and Mary K. (Oakley) Lhota, instilled in him the strong work ethic and faith in God that carried him throughout his life. Charles was a veteran of World War II, a 35 year employee of Mellon Bank, a member of the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township and a lifelong member of the VFW in Bellevue. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elsie C. (Rausch) Lhota, whom he married on October 16, 1948; and his two children, Patricia A. Otto and Charles A. Lhota. His wife was the anchor of his life and the caregiver whose strength never failed him. His children were the highlight of his accomplished life. They are the symbol of his strength, and while they will grieve his passing, they know he truly loved them both. He was the beloved grandfather of Benjamin C. Otto and Charles T. Lhota; and father-in-law to Gary R. Otto and Karen A. Lhota. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Margaret Ann Lhota; and his brother, Jack Lhota. A Mass of Christian Burial followed by Military Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, with Father John Gallagher, celebrant. He will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery in Ross Township. JACKSON HELEN (MANION) Helen (Manion) Jackson, age 91, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2014. Beloved wife of the late John A. “Scotty” Jackson; mother of Terry (Sharyn) Jackson, Dr. Michael (Rosemary) Jackson, Mary Magee, Margaret (John) Van Wert, JoAnn (Bob) O'Hara, Kathleen (Buc) Engel, Janet (Jim) Duke, and John (Brenda) Jackson; grandmother of 23; great- grandmother of 22; sister of the late Roberta Manion and Eileen Earnest. Helen was a lifelong member of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Parish in Baldwin Borough, where she worked as the secretary until 2005. She also worked at H&R Block. She died as she lived – fiercely independent and on her own terms, hosting luncheons at her home until the very end. She enjoyed a rich life, highlighted by hosting holiday meals with her family and summer vacations to Topsail Island, NC. He was preceded in the death by his brother, Roger Oldaker, Jr. and grandmother, Pauline “Honey” Pikras. Gregory enjoyed traveling all over the world. He grew up playing ice hockey and had a love for Pittsburgh sports. He was a proud graduate of Miami of Ohio. LAMBERT MICHAEL WAYNE Age 57, of Atlasburg, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 30, 2014. He was born on May 21, 1956, in Lancaster, South Carolina, a son of the late Fred Marion and Mary Jeanette Ammons Lambert. After being raised and educated in Lancaster, South Carolina, he traveled extensively before settling in Burgettstown, PA. He was the owner and operator of a private consulting firm specializing in health physics and environmental restoration. His wife, Marlayna Gess Lambert, whom he married November 5, 2004, survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Makhi Asher Lambert, whom he enjoyed participating in all of his sporting activities; siblings, Karen Whitaker, Michelle Ward, David Lambert, and Lamar Lambert, all of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. in the LEE & MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the Frankfort Presbyterian Church, 3326 St., Rt. 18, Hookstown, PA. Everyone is kindly asked to meet at the church. Interment will follow in the Fairmont Cemetery, Cook Township, PA.
