ALAN STANTON FORMAN Age 74, died on Saturday, March 7, 2020, in Coconut Creek, Florida. Beloved husband of Lois Berman Forman; loving father of Sean Forman (Pamela) and Nicholas Forman (Sheryl); grandfather of Jonah, Lila, Scott, Spencer, and Micah; and brother of Libby Lee Forman Zal. Born and raised in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Alan earned a Bachelor's degree from Geneva College and played on the school's tennis team. He served in the US Army Reserves and worked for the Social Security Administration for 35 years. He lived in Pittsburgh before moving to Florida in 2009. Alan was active at Parkway Jewish Center where he served as a board member. He also coached his sons' soccer and baseball teams and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Services at Homewood Cemetery Chapel, 1599 S. Dallas Avenue, Squirrel Hill on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at 11 a.m. Visitation at cemetery chapel one hour prior to services (10 - 11 a.m.) Interment immediately following services. LOUELLA EMANUEL KOSTOPOLOS (PRESVYTERA) On Friday, March 6, 2020, Presvytera Louella Emanuel Kostopolos, aged 89, of McCandless. Beloved wife of the late Rev. John W. Kostopolos; mother of Stephanie (Stephen) Sedor and James (Tracy) Kostopolos. Grandmother of James, Natalie, and Melanie Kostopolos and Valentina Sedor. She adored and loved her children and grandchildren. Her lifelong involvement in her church included membership in the Daughters of Penelope Alcyone Chapter, teaching Sunday School, singing in the church choir, and serving in the Philoptochos Ladies Auxiliary. A former reference librarian, she will dearly missed by many and memories of her will be forever cherished. She enjoyed painting, sketching and was an avid reader. As a part-time Floridian, she loved spending time there with her husband. Above all, the joy of her life was her family. JILL RENEE ARMOUR HOWARD Age 58, of Glenshaw, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020. Born on April 8, 1961, she was the loving daughter of Mary Lou (Bob) Eudy and Bobbie Joe Armour. Loving grandchild to Evelyn and Raymond Buchanan. Cherished mother to Joshua (Nikki) Eckenrode, Jaison (Adrienne) Eckenrode, Matthew Howard and Michael Howard. Loving grandmother to Mikayla, Elijah, Olivia and Violet Eckenrode and Benson and Beau Eckenrode. Jill graduated from Peters Township High School in 1979 where she participated in cross country and track. Jill loved antiques, cooking, hot wings and coffee. She kept a meticulous home and always welcomed family and friends. Jill also enjoyed being in nature and creek walking, but she most importantly loved spending time with her grandchildren who brought her so much joy. She will be dearly missed by all. THOMAS C. BOUR Age 88, of Shaler Twp. on March 8, 2020. Loving husband of Nancy R. (Schwartz) Bour for 61 years. Devoted father of four: Thomas W., Catherine (Richard) Jones, William H. (Sharon Simms) and Jennifer (John) Buckley; Pappy to 11 wonderful grandchildren. Son of the late Harry P. and Anna Bour. Born March 21, 1932, in Pittsburgh (Carrick). Graduated from Carrick H.S. in 1950, was drafted into the U.S. Army in Jan. 1953, and served his tour of duty in the Corps of Engineers at Fort Richardson, Alaska. Immediately after discharge from the Army he enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering and graduated in 1959 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. (PPG Industries now) and remained there for 37 years until retiring at the age of 65. At PPG he worked 18 years in fiber glass research where he was granted seven patents relating to fiber glass manufacture. The remaining 19 years of his career were as a Senior Manufacture Engineer. In this position he traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, and S. America in support of PPG glass fiber technology. Tom was an enthusiastic participant in the sports of tennis, skiing, and skating into his early 80's. He began building backyard ice rinks as soon as the children were old enough to skate and was pleased that they continued this tradition ever since with their own children. Tom and Nancy enjoyed vacation travel to National Parks and historical sites. They especially enjoyed shorter trips to the mountains of North Carolina where they explored the back roads in search of creative quilters and the best eateries featuring that delicious smoked pork Bar-B-Q. Preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Davis; brothers, William and David; survived by sister, Elizabeth Egan; and sister-in-law, Margaret Brickner; “Uncle Tom” to many loving nieces and nephews. Tom died Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Concordia at Rebecca Residence with his family at his bedside. He received loving care from the staff members. ANNETTE I. GLASER Age 99, of Port Vue, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2020 at Woodhaven Care Center in Monroeville, PA. She was born August 17, 1920, in Pittsburgh, to the late John Anthony and Margaret Daily Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the late Arthur E. Glaser; and her daughter, Jayne Plescia; and sister, Florence McConnell. Annette retired as a medical secretary from Steel Valley Orthopedics and was a member of St. Mark Parish, (the former St. Joseph Church) where she was a former president and former secretary of the parish council and served on the Ladies of Charity, was a former president of the McKeesport Art Group, former secretary of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America, and former secretary of the Port Vue Seniors. She is survived by her children, Arthur (Marilyn) Glaser of Ocean City, Maryland, John (Joan) Glaser of Beavercreek, Ohio, Donna (Mike) Hanna of Santa Barbara, California, Mark (Gail) Glaser of Butler, Rebecca Glaser of Forest Hills; son-in-law, Michael Plescia of Ft. Myers Florida; and sister, Marguerite Mitchell of Forest Hills. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey Glaser, Jacqueline Glaser (Carlo) Serrangeli, Julie Glaser, and Jill Glaser (Brando) Reyna, Lisa (James) Clement, Betsy (Ian) Dryburgh, Chelsea (James) Brewer, Katlyn (Kyle) Davis, Anton Bubolz, Nina (Matthew) Gettemy, Michael (Ximena) Hannah, Justice (Susi) Hannah, Olivia (Tyler) McGoffin; and 14 great-grandchildren. When asked for her greatest piece of life advice at the age of 99, Annette responded "Always be kind. Love one another." She radiated this sentiment throughout her entire life, a true "angel on earth" who was the embodiment of kindness, honesty and selflessness. Her remarkable and vivacious spirit will be remembered and emulated by each life she touched. Beloved wife of 45 years of Karl Berkoben Moritz who preceded her in death in 2002, and much-loved mother of Amy Moritz Ridenour who preceded her in death in 2017. She is survived by her loving sons, Karl and his husband Steven Landry of Falls Church, VA, and Christian of Washington, DC; and by her son-in-law, David Ridenour of Laurel, MD; and her three grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, and Katherine Ridenour. Carol was born on Christmas Eve, 1934, in Pittsburgh. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a major in Creative Writing, where she met her future husband and settled in Forest Hills. Her real estate sales career ensured she was actively engaged in the community and culminated with her starting her own real estate company. She enjoyed gardening, travel (including many camping trips in the western U.S.), financial investing, and healthy cooking. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Pittsburgh for many years. She will be remembered for her energy, professionalism, caring, and dedication to helping others. Ann was born in Clarksburg, WV, and raised in Athens, OH and moved to Pittsburgh in 1963. She spent the early years of her married life raising her children and then worked as an administrative assistant and medical secretary. She was an avid runner and completed over 26 marathons in her running career. She ran with South Park Runners and other recreational running clubs. She enjoyed travel in her later years and played the piano. Cheryl was retired with 20-plus years' service from the Conroy Educational Center where she enjoyed helping her "kids" at Conroy, but she most enjoyed entertaining her family and friends in her home.
