KOHNE FRANK H. , Jr. Age 85, of Ross Township, on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 2, 1929, son of the late Frank H. and Violet K. (Lintner) Kohne; father of Scott D. (Maureen) Kohne, Gretchen L. (Craig) Matthews, Heidi L. (Michelle) Kohne, and Christopher D. (Lori) Kohne; grandfather of Keane (Courtney), Katlyn, Jack and Connor Kohne; brother of Wilma Murphy and Mable Hull; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Frank achieved the rank of Lieutenant J.G. in the United States Navy, serving on the USS Newport News throughout the Korean War. During his working career, he was president and chief executive officer of the Mellon Bank Community Development Corporation. Frank served as Ross Township Commissioner for 16 years. While acting in this capacity, he became instrumental in development of the Ross/West View Emergency Medical Service, contributed to the creation of the Northland Public Library and helped with the procurement of the land that is now Ross Twp. Community Park. He was a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin and the National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma. Frank was a devoted father. His family has many fond memories of spending weekends and summers at their cottage in Conneaut Lake, where they enjoyed fishing, swimming, boating, and water skiing. Frank was very active throughout life and loved to golf, garden, and go running "to think things through". Family will welcome friends Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 388 Center Avenue, West View, PA 15229, where service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m., Rev John B. Born January 22, 1946, passed away June 10, 2014. Cathy was the loving mother of Rick (Coleen) Davis, Randy (Jan) Davis, Roger (Pam) Davis, Andrea Conway, Greg Davis, and Glenn Davis; also beloved stepmother and friend of Jennifer (Jason Holly) Cianca, Michelle Dye and Belinda (Thomas) Moreno; beloved grandmother of 16 grandchildren. SCHONBACHLER ROBERT LEO Age 81, of Plum, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 19, 1933, son of the late Rose and Leo Schonbachler; beloved husband for nearly 56 years of Doris (Miller) Schonbachler; father of Karen (Jim) Trunk, Pamela (Troy) Marshall and Kenneth Schonbachler; Bob was also the proud grandfather of Richelle, Aaron, Tyler, Zachary, Cory, Cameron, Amber and Brittany; he was the brother of Mary Ann (Donald) Evancho and the late Edward (Beverly) Schonbachler and Richard (Joyce) Schonbachler; also uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was active at Our Lady of Joy Parish and was honored to serve in the Knights of Columbus and as an usher. He also was a proud member of the Marine Corps League, Forbes Trail Detachment. These activities brought him numerous friends who were of great support through his illness. Bob retired from Alcoa Research Laboratories in 1994, where he was a project engineer for 25 years. He was also an avid golfer and a passionate fan of the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family. Martha attended The Ohio State University and St. Mary of the Springs in Columbus, Ohio. She was an active volunteer with the Venice Chamber of Commerce. WEDNER MARC R. Age 76, of Valley Village, California, died on June 19, 2014, following a lengthy illness. He was the only son of Sylvia and Marcus Wedner. Funeral Services were held June 22, 2014, in Mount Sinai Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills. Marc was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended Shady Side Academy and Haverford College. He married Pamela Gordon and moved to California in 1961 after the birth of their daughter. He lived in the San Fernando Valley for 53 years and worked at several aerospace, technology, and telecommunications firms around Southern California. A proud workaholic, he also avidly pursued his passions for equity waiver theater, Bebop jazz, WWII history, and the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Wedner Roeder; and son-in-law, Gil Roeder and his son, Marcus Wedner; and daughter-in-law, Anne Wedner. He is survived by four grandchildren, Adam Roeder, Eleanor Roeder, Dorothy Wedner, and Sylvia Martha Wedner. He was uncle to Alex Segal, Justin Segal, Joshua Segal, and Erica Bootchk; brother-in-law to Valerie Gordon Lee; and great-uncle to eight nieces and nephews. He was born in Coraopolis on Jan. 26, 1936, to the late Julia (Samboldt) Langmann, Sr.; beloved father of Valerie Simons; and loving grandfather of Joshua Simons, both of Debary, FL; cherished brother of Frances Langman of Coraopolis, Julie Hermann (Norman) of Robinson Township, Marilyn Langman of Sewickley, Robert Langmann (Lorraine) and Ronald Langman (Shirley), all of Robinson Township. Fred was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church had worked for LTV Steel, Aliquippa Works, he enjoyed dog racing, horse racing and traveling. He served in the U.S. Army during Korea.
