POFF RICHARD E. Age 88, of White Oak, PA, died Sunday, August 10, 2014, at UPMC McKeesport. Born August 27, 1925, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Elwood Elmer and Susan Rogers Poff. A U.S. Army WWII purple heart recipient veteran, he was a retired draftsman from Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh, after 38 years of service, and was a member of Park Baptist Church and the White Oak American Legion Post #701. Surviving are his wife, Doris Snyder Poff; a son, Mark (Cathy) Poff of North Huntingdon; and a granddaughter, Lauren Poff, also of North Huntingdon; also surviving are nieces and nephews. OEHRLE LEE R. Age 75, of O'Hara Twp., passed away, with family at her side, on Saturday, August 9, 2014. Beloved wife of 53 years to John S. Oehrle, M.D.; loving mother of Scott D. (Maureen) Oehrle and Jenna O. (Mark) Rodrigues; cherished Meema of Jeremy, Jessica, Jonathan, Aidan, and Sophia; sister of Kai (Melanie) Schrodt; sister-in-law of Betsy Oehrle; cousin of Anne C. (Robert) DeOrsey. Lee grew up in Kensington, MD and graduated from Wheaton High School. She was a wonderful singer and a beautiful pianist. She trained for two years at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, where she studied to be a concert pianist, and transferred to Carnegie Tech where she graduated in 1961, when she and her husband moved to Pittsburgh as he began his career in medicine. They resided in Mt. Lebanon, where she raised her two children, Scott and Jenna. This is where her love of helping others and volunteerism grew. She served as the PTA president for several years and was a devoted parishioner of the South Hills Presbyterian Church. She was the accompanist for the South Hills Chorale for 12 years. In 1989, she and her husband moved to O'Hara Township where she continued as a tireless volunteer at the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church. She was devoted to the ministry of music through voice as a Chancel Choir member for 25 years, children's choir piano accompaniment and the music librarian. She also served as a Deacon at FCPC. She was a reader for the blind with Pittsburgh's Radio Information Service on WDUQ, and helped adults learn to read through a local literacy organization. She will be remembered as a sweet person who always lent a helping hand, had a smile and a kind word for others. Friends will be received Friday, August 15, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. at the WEDDELL - AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Avenue, Aspinwall. LEHMAN RAYMOND W. Formerly of Glenshaw, passed away with his wife at his side on Friday, August 8, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot. He was born September 24, 1926, in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Earl and Frances Emanuel Lehman. Ray was a retired broadcaster and was defined by a golden voice, heard for 42 years on various radio stations and as narrator of films for some of America's largest corporations. A tireless advocate of classical music, he championed its cause and for three decades was the on-air voice of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. He was a devoted calligraphy artist and much of his art hangs on the walls of Pittsburgh. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Jane Lehman; his children, Robert (Allison) Lehman and Ruth (Barry) Van De Carr; his grandchildren, Meredith and Bess. In addition to his parents; his sister, Grace L. Doran; and his brother, Earl W. Lehman, preceded him in death. No visitation. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. in the Elfinwild Presbyterian Church, 3200 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw.
