MOOLTEN FREDERICK L., M.D. Age 82, Canonsburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at his daughter's home, surrounded by loved ones. He was born October 11, 1932, in New York City, son of the late Drs. Sylvan Moolten and Isabel London. Dr. Moolten attended Harvard College and Medical School and was retired as a cancer researcher, who did pioneering work in the use of gene therapy for the treatment of cancer. Upon retirement, he pursued many interests, most notably writing music and educating the public about climate change and global warming. His wife, Norma Moolten, predeceased him. Surviving are his son, Dr. David N. Moolten and his wife, Sharon, of Philadelphia, PA; three daughters, Dr. Marjorie Moolten and her husband, Dr. Jondavid Pollock, of Wheeling, Judy Moolten-Orzolek and her husband, Brian, of Wheeling, and Amy Moolten of Boston; six grandchildren, Ariel Pollock, Netanya Pollock, Samara Pollock, London Orzolek, Odette Moolten, and Shira Moolten.
