MARRONE VIRGINIA M. GINGER Age 71, of West Windsor, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at Compassionate Care at St. Francis in Trenton. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, she has been living in West Windsor, NJ since 1986. Ginger was a graduate of Homestead High School, Homestead, PA, Class of 1961. Ginger began her civil service career right out of High School, passing her civil service exam and going directly to work for the Department of the Navy at the Pentagon. She then went on to the IRS in Pittsburgh, PA in the Intelligence Division. She finished her civil service career with the DOD at the Oakdale, PA Operations Base as the assistant transportation supervisor, supervising civilian and military personnel, responsible for the movement of Army, Navy and Marine personnel and their families, worldwide. Then left the service and began raising a family in 1972 and became managing director and producer for the Performing Arts for Children in Pittsburgh, PA, until moving to New Jersey. In her spare time, Ginger enjoyed golf, tennis, skiing, and reading mystery novels. She also liked country and western, sing alongs, going to Broadway shows, musical productions, and watching soaps. Predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Elizabeth (Visoskis) Straiter; and a sister, Veronica 'Ronnie' Nowak; she is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert S. Marrone; a son, Ryan A. and his wife, Susan; and their three daughters, Ellie, Grace and Paige; a daughter, Leah Caroline Marrone; a brother, Stanley Straiter and his wife, Libby. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at SAUL COLONIAL HOME, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton, NJ 08690. Cremation will be private. Family and friends may call on Monday, December 8, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
