WEINHEIMER ELEANOR A. (OSSENBERG) Age 92, of Zelienople, died on Sunday, September 8, 2013 while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp. Born July 17, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude (Pracht) Ossenberg. Eleanor was known for her strong faith and devotion to God. From 1972 to 2002, she proudly served as a volunteer for UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp. At the conclusion of her time serving as a volunteer, she recorded over 5,000 hours. Her devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother and caretaker will be lovingly remembered. Above all, her role as the rock and foundation of the family will never be forgotten. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Cheryl Eastly of Ormund Beach, FL; and her three grandchildren, Sarah, Jonathan and David Eastly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, William F. Weinheimer, who died on August 2, 2007; and her brother, Harry P. Ossenberg. A Memorial Service will be celebrated in Eleanor's honor at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at the Seaman Memorial Chapel at Passavant Retirement Community, 401 S. Main Street, Zelienople, PA 16063, with Rev. Wilfred Goetze, officiating. She will be laid to rest privately by her family at the English Lutheran Church Cemetery in Zelienople. MISKO JOHN 90, of Moon Township, formerly of Sheraden, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013. Born April 1 , 1923, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Michael and Catherine (Kowalchak Piroh) Misko; beloved husband of 60 years to the late Martha L. (Oltmann) Misko; father of Theodore "Ted" (Judy) Misko and Janet L. Misko, both of Moon Township; grandfather of Michael S. (Sarah) Misko; preceded in death by four sisters and a brother. John was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II, retired as a general foreman from Shenango Inc. on Neville Island, and a member of Centennial Lodge #544 F&AM of Carnegie. He loved gardening, growing beautiful flowers and vegetables. John's finest achievement was being a wonderful husband, dad and pap. EVANKO DAVID MICHAEL Age 38, a resident of Jacksonville, FL, where he passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, formerly of Moon Township. He was born in Sewickley on July 27, 1975. Beloved son of Harry Evanko, Sr. and the late Diane (Kotfis) Evanko Lee; loving brother of Harry Evanko, Jr. David graduated from Moon Area High School in 1994. He obtained his B.S. in Engineering from University of North Florida in 2007. His heavy background in computers languages, programming and mathematics, promoted his U.S. Naval Career. He was certified in U.S. Navy Prototype Training and U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School along with U.S. Navy electrical technician and technician maintenance school. Serving in the U.S. Navy for 5 years, he was a nuclear operator on Submarine USS Louisiana. He worked for Haddad Engineering in Florida. STEINMARK EDGAR GEORGE Edgar George Steinmark passed away on September 6, at Family Hospice & Palliative Care, shortly after a final visit from his family. He was 88 years old. Ed had most recently lived at Providence Point, a retirement community in Pittsburgh's South Hills. Ed was born Mar. 13, 1925, in Bellevue, PA, to Ethel May Gruey Steinmark and Arthur Nicholas Steinmark. Ed spent his childhood in Bellevue and graduated from Bellevue High School, where he met the love of his life, Sarah Wrenshall, beginning a courtship and marriage that would span 73 years. Ed served as a U.S. Marine Corps officer during World War II. Ed took his B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh and joined the Pennsylvania Industrial Chemical Corporation (PICCO). He rose through his career to become District Manager for Hercules Inc. before retiring in 1985. During those years, the family moved from Bellevue to live in Wallingford, PA, Upper St. Clair, PA, Wilmington, DE, and Bath, OH. Ed was a devoted husband, father, family man, church and community member, reader of history, and sports fan, who loved wintering in Hawaii. Ed was predeceased by his son, Robert Gruey Steinmark. He is survived by his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Louise Machinist and Arthur Steinmark (Karen Doughty), and grandchildren, Sarah Machinist and Charles Machinist. Additional survivors include his sister, Alice Rightor; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Wrenshall and Doris Wrenshall, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ed's life, beginning with a 12:30 p.m., Sept. 21, service at Bower Hill Community Church, 70 Moffett St., Mt. Lebanon, followed by a 2:00 reception at Providence Point, 500 Providence Point Blvd., Pgh., PA 15243. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Providence Point Employee Appreciation Fund. NARDOZZO ROCCO Age 82, of Munhall, on September 7, 2013. Son of the late Donato and Teresa (Galucci) Nardozzo; beloved husband of 44 years of the late Diana (Stachelski) Nardozzo; loving father of Terri (Chuck) Redpath, Dan Nardozzo, Laura (Tom) Spernak and Greg (Tracy) Nardozzo; brother of two siblings who died in childhood; grandfather of Justin (Bonnie) Redpath, Brian Redpath, Katie Redpath, Bennet Spernak, Jillian Spernak, Leah Nardozzo and Rocco Nardozzo; also survived by beloved canine friend, Scout, and several dear friends and neighbors. Rocco was an Army veteran of the Korean War and worked two full time jobs to support his family as an expeditor for J & L Steel Works and a Postal Clerk with the U.S. Postal Service for over 50 years and was proud that he had the most seniority at that facility. He was the most wonderful father and family man who dedicated his life to his family and who was the most happy when all they were all together at the beach. He will be missed dearly. BLAKEMORE JUDITH K. Age 73, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice. Judith was born November 9, 1939, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late William B. and Alice (Williams) Kuhn. Since leaving Pittsburgh, she has been a resident of Bonita Springs for the last 28 years. Judith was a longtime member of the Unity Church. She was a very loving person and caregiver to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Blakemore, in 2008. Survivors include her two sons, James Roscoe (Krista) Blakemore, IV and Randall Allen Blakemore of Bonita Springs; one sister, Carol (Robert) Kuhn-Gager of Atlanta, GA; one brother, William B. (Kim) Kuhn of Pittsburgh, PA; four grandchildren, Christopher Hadley, James Roscoe, V, Stefani Marie, and Andria Nichole Blakemore. In addition, Judith had several nieces and nephews.
