
SLONEKER NORMA E. Age 87, of Oil City, formerly of Greene Co., died at 10:05 p.m. on Weds., August 21, 2013 in Oil City. Born Sept. 27, 1925, in Greene Co., to the late William H. and Harriett Murphy Walsh. She attended Calvary U. M. Church in Oil City. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, making baby doll clothing, and swimming. Norma worked at the Standard Can Co. in Leetsdale, and the St. Regis Box Company in Pittsburgh. In 1941 she married Thomas E. Sloneker, who preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1991. Surviving is a daughter, Bonnie L. Klem; and her husband John of Oil City; eleven grandchildren, Wanda, Thomas, Mikey, Donald, John, Patricia, Jimmy, Holly, Kimberly, Robert, and John; nineteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Walsh and wife Sharon of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three children, Patricia Ann, Donald William, and Mary B. Sloneker; sisters, Clara, Catharine, Mary, and Audrey; and brothers, Charles, Robert, and James. Visitation is Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. in the HILE-BEST FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2781 Rte. 257, Seneca, PA 16346. Services are at the funeral home Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment in Brandon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Golden Living Center, 1293 Grandview Rd., Oil City, PA 16301.
