ARBOGAST WILLIAM J. Age 34, of Beaver Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 9, 2014. He was the son of Gary Michael Arbogast, Sr. and Becky Davis Arbogast. He was a member of CUP Evangelical Presbyterian Church and a member of the Construction & General Laborers Union Local 833. He was a graduate of Blackhawk High School, and received a B.A. degree in history from Duquesne University. He was a varsity football player and All American at Duquesne. Bill loved spending time with his son, Jax, and watching “Cars”, building Lego's, wrestling and being Jax's super hero. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Max and Martha Dean Arbogast and Harry J. Davis. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Elinore Davis, Wampum; a sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Chris Foltz, South Fayette Township; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mike and Kelly Arbogast, Chippewa Township, Jarod Arbogast, Patterson Township; two sons, Jax Arbogast and Grady Arbogast; two nieces and a nephew, Jenna and Michael Foltz and Allie Grace Arbogast. WRIGHT FRANK J. Age 95, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, November 6, 2014, of Whitehall. Beloved husband of 66 years to Eileen (Barrett) Wright; loving father of Eileen (Maury) Dickson, Paul (Colette) Wright, Timothy Wright, and Meighan (Warren) Maley; proud grandfather of McConnell Dickson, Bridget (Matthew) Schomaker, Sarah (Justin) Albenze, Philip (Nadia) Wright, and Ian and Devon Maley; cherished great-grandfather of nine; brother of Gertrude Wright. First Lieutenant Frank J. Wright served as a Platoon Leader of Company B, First Battalion, Twenty-eighth Marines, Fifth Marine Division in action on Iwo Jima, February 1945. For his extraordinary heroism, his awards include the Navy Cross and Purple Heart. After his Honorable Discharge as a Captain, Frank received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and his Ph.D. in Accounting from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. Frank was Professor of Accountancy as well as Director, Master of Accountancy Program at Duquesne University. There will be no visitation. Friends will be received at the JOHN F. MARKS HARRY A. Harry Anthony Marks, formerly of Dormont and of Oakdale, died Nov. 9, 2014, in Roanoke, VA, where he had lived in recent years. He was 88. He is now in heaven together with the love of his life, the late Peggy (Winkler) Marks. Born January 10, 1926, in Brookline, a son of the late Aloysius and Amelia Marks, he attended St. Justins High School and earned a degree in accounting at Duquesne University. He worked as an auditor for Employers Insurance Company of Wausau and as co-owner and manager of the McDonald's restaurant in Warwood, WV. During World War II, he served as a Navy electrician's mate on the U.S.S. New York battleship, and was a member of the Oakdale VFW and the American Legion. He volunteered with the Meals On Wheels program in Oakdale. He was a longtime member of St. Bernard Church in Mount Lebanon, where he served as a Boy Scout leader, and later attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Oakdale. He was an avid outdoorsman, who imparted his love of hunting, fishing, camping and boating to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards and harmony singing and was part of the Seton Songbirds at the Seton Center in Brookline. Surviving are his children, Paul (Susan) Marks of Glastonbury, CT, Thomas (Elizabeth) Marks of Elverson, PA, Mary Beth Marks of Bozeman, MT, Michael (Sue) Marks of Venetia, PA, and Joseph (Yvonne) Marks of Roanoke, VA; also surviving are ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Marjorie "Peggy" (Winkler) Marks (Sept. 22, 2010); a sister, Charlotte Krahe; and brothers, John, Aloysius (Bill), George, and Albert Marks. Friends will be received between 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the THOMAS - LITTLE FUNERAL SERVICE, INC., 5000 Noblestown Road, Oakdale (724-693-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 7322 Noblestown Road, Oakdale. VERBKA JOSEPH M. Age 46, of Cabot, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Butler Memorial Hospital. He was born November 8, 1968, in St. Mary's, PA, the son of Rudy and the late Joan (Gresock) Verbka of Kersey, PA. Joe received his bachelor's degree from Gannon University and his master's degree from Ball State University. He loved archaeology and was a Regional Archaeology Supervisor for Penn Dot. Joe was an avid outdoorsman whose favorite pastime was hunting. He was an award winning amateur wine maker who had hoped to open his own winery. He will be dearly missed by Saffie, Tricksey, and Jasper, his beloved cats. Surviving are his beloved wife of 11 years, Jacqueline (Prosen) Verbka; two sisters, Lori (Dave) Micsky of Mercer and Jill (Michael) Nash of Youngsville, NC; four nephews, Ryan and Christopher Micsky and Aidan and Cooper Nash; uncle, Mark (Patty) Gresock of Reynoldsville; and daughter from a previous marriage, Kate Verbka of Dubois. He was recently preceded in death by his mother; and uncle, Greg Gresock; and other aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014.
