HILINSKI DANIEL W. Age 83, on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Born April 10, 1931, to Walter and Mary (Kozak) Hilinski; beloved husband of Catherine M. “Kitty” (Tunney) Hilinski; uncle of a very special, beloved niece, Helen Dean of Joplin, MO; survived also by many nieces and nephews. Dan served in the United States Army in Japan during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954. After the Army, Dan received his master's degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a volunteer for 20 years at the Little Sisters of the Poor. Dan worked as a probation officer and supervisor at Juvenile Court from 1959 until 1992. There will be no visitations. There will be a Funeral Mass at the Little Sisters of the Poor on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan's name to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212. CAPARELLI HELEN MARGARET Age 85, of Mt. Washington, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Beloved daughter of the late Enrico (Henry) Caparelli and Agnes Maria Spain Caparelli; survived by sister, Marie Catherine Caparelli Goodnight (Robert Addison Goodnight); and preceded in death by brother, Guy Benjamin Caparelli. Helen's deep spiritual faith was a source of inspiration and a foundation for the gentle guidance and loving support to family and friends. Helen's 43- year career at American Standard began upon graduation from high school as a member of the steno pool and culminated as the manager of the main show- room on Ross Street in downtown Pittsburgh. Helen thought of her fellow employees at American Standard as her second family and their success as a team was always a source of pride. No Visitations. Born in 1921, Miss Page was the youngest of eight children of the late Frank T. and Elizabeth (Hogan) Page. She is survived by her brother, Frank T. Page, Jr. She was preceded in death by brothers, John D., Edward F. and Richard J. Page; and by sisters, Elizabeth P. Murray, Virginia P. Sheedy, and Martha P. Wilson; she is also survived by 28 nieces and nephews and approximately 150 of their children and grandchildren. For many years, Sis was an administrator at McClosky & O'Neill, insurance brokers, and then at Alexander and Alexander. She will be fondly remembered for her intelligence, remarkable sense of humor, and sincere love of God and family. Friends will be received on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, 6-8 p.m. at JOHN A. DEWALT GEORGE FREDERICK Age 89, of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, TN, passed away November 8, 2014. George was born on March 4, 1925, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of both Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Association of Iron & Steel Engineers. George graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and Columbia University with a B.S.E.E. and an M.B.A. Memberships included ETA Kappa honorary Electrical Engineering and Sigma Tau Honorary Engineering. He was a veteran of the USMC, serving from 1943-1946 in Guam. His responsibilities included sergeant in the Signal Corps, radar technician-maintaining anti-aircraft fire control radar, and he taught radar operations classes. George and Ruth were married on January 31, 1948. In 1949, George began his career with Jones and Laughlin Steel working in Pittsburgh, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. Upon his retirement in 1975, from McLouth Steel Corporation, Trenton, MI, he and Ruth moved to Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Dorathea Gasperin. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Ruth Dewalt; daughters, Lesley Matuszak (Mark) of Peoria, IL and Elyse Sakuta (Robert) of Clarkston, MI; grandchildren, Alexandra Clarke (Wacey) of Grand Junction, CO and Ned Matuszak of Peoria, IL; great- grandchildren, Parker and Payne Clarke; and his cat, Stella. Interment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
