CAPONE FRANCES ELEANOR PASSED ...

CAPONE FRANCES ELEANOR Passed away on December 11, 2014. Beloved wife of Robert Ernest Capone for 66 years; mother of Janet (Richard) Tysarczyk, Robert Edward, Mark (Vicki); grandmother of Tina Wade, Marcy (Garrett) Fregault, Richard (Aimee), Dana (John) Allemang; great-grandmother of Jacob, Alex, Ben, Vivienne, Elliot, Alexa, Ava, and Eli. Fran was the daughter of the late Bruno and Elizabeth (Getsy) Schcosky of Braddock, born on August 22, 1926. Fran had one sister and one brother, Constance Schcosky (deceased) and Edward Schcosky of Churchill. Fran loved her family and was proud of them. She had loved to travel but had a lifelong love for Williamsburg, Virginia. She not only visited there on hundreds of trips but created presentations of Williamsburg for various groups. Her love for American history was a lifelong passion. This went along with her love of reading. There were at least three newspapers each day as she felt keeping informed is everyone's responsibility. There were also countless narratives being read centering on mysteries. Not only was Fran an avid reader but encouraged discussion of the subjects as well. If anything, others were encouraged to read and discuss or share what they had learned or enjoyed. Education, being formal or self-study, was always fostered. Recently it was found that there were many certificates for perfect attendance throughout her school years in Braddock. It is thought that all of the grandchildren's continued education stems from their grandmother's influence. Fran was so pleased that amongst the grandchildren's accomplishments that can be found successful: parenting, a school principal, a registered nurse, teachers and an accountant. Fran was wonderfully independent. Although there were many hurdles in the later years, she strived to maintain an independence of which encouraged others. During the years of Homestead Hospital, Fran volunteered as a COT Club member, later becoming president of the club. Visitation will be held Monday 3-7 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, where a Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment in Jefferson Memorial Park. Condolences may be given at: www.jeffersonmemorial.biz Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
