MELSONER DOROTHY Age 72, of Pickerington, OH, died on January 11, 2015. She was born on April 11, 1942, to the late Aloysius and Agnes Clemence in Pittsburgh, PA. She was an avid gardener, reader, traveler and loved going to casinos. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Russman; brother-in-law, Rusty Wheaton; and sister-in-law, Shirley Wheaton. Survivors include her husband, James H. Melsoner; two sons, James Melsoner and Jason Melsoner; four grandchildren, Anthony, Jordan, Meagan and Madison; three brothers, Ronald (Bonnie) Clemence, Jimmy (Lorraine) Clemence and Alan (Kathy) Clemence; nine nieces and nephews. KARR MAUREEN "REENE" "MO" (GECAN) Age 56, of Duquesne, died tragically on December 30, 2014. Beloved daughter of Norma Gecan and the late Valentine Gecan. Preceded in death by her older brother, Wayne Gecan. Loving sister of Paula (Terry) Meigs, Valerie (Richard) Spencer, Dale (Debbie) Gecan, Christine (George) Lion, Colleen (Thomas) Steimer and Roxanne (Steve) Barnette; also survived by her many nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew. Reene's passions were sewing, crafting, karaoke and caring for her dogs. She loved to make people laugh and will be missed dearly by her family and many friends. OTT ALBERT W. Of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Allentown, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 11, 2015, two days shy of his 89th birthday. He was the son of Albert W. Ott and Esther Shook Ott. AI was the devoted and loving husband of 64 years to Lois K. Ott; and the father of Mary Alice "Gert" Mathew (Drew) of Zelienople, Timothy P. Ott (Vera) of Baden and Glenn W. Ott (Bethe) of Whitehall; he was the fun and loving "Pap" to Joe (Julie), Alecia and Kirsten Ott, Jessica and Spencer Mathew and Morgan and Lake Ott; he was also the great-grandfather of Mason, Lauren, Landon and Mallon Ott. AI leaves one surviving sibling, his sister, Jane Miles (Joe) of Vero Beach, FL; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew A. Ott; and his sisters, Rose Frey, Vera Ott and Mary Schneider. AI was always the life of the party and cherished times spent with his family. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time at his summer home at Conneaut Lake and making the rounds to neighbors on Comstock St. or waiting in his yard for kids and grandkids to show up for an impromptu party. After graduating from St. George High School in Allentown, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines and proudly served in World War II. Upon his honorable discharge from the service, he enrolled in and graduated from Duquesne University after which he took over his father's successful real estate and insurance business in the Allentown section of Pittsburgh until his retirement in 1990. He was a past president of the South Hills Multi List, was on the Board of Directors of Progressive Home Federal Savings and Loan and a proud member of the VFW and the American Legion and one of the longest standing members of the PA Sportsmans Club and the St. George Lyceum. He was a current parishioner at St. Elizabeth Church in Pleasant Hills. In honoring his request there will be no viewing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 19, 2015, at St. John Vianney Parish (St. George Church) at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Rudy Smoley officiating. Art is survived by his former wife, Florence; his children, Demie (Gary) McClatchey of Bethel Park, Carl (Kristin) Brown of Independence, Bruce (Kelli) Brown of Independence; 12 grandchildren, A.J. and Arthur (Kate) Simeone, Alexandra Brown, and Anatasha George, Cameron, Cullen, Connery and Christianna Brown, Bruce, Brett, Brendan and Braehm Brown; great-grandchildren, Cayden and Mallory; he is also survived by five siblings, Norman, Bobby, Jack, Lillian, and Billy; along with several nieces and nephews. Born on September 24, 1946, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Beatrice and Robert Decker. She was the beloved wife of Richard Vuocolo; loving mother to Christopher (Katie) Vuocolo, Richard (Emily) Vuocolo, and Beatrice/Elisa (Steve) Scheuerle; she was the cherished grandmother of Thea Scheuerle, Liam Scheuerle, and Oliver Vuocolo; dear sister of Mary Lou D'Ambrosio and Roberta Morris; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lynn was an educator of students with visual impairments for 38 years with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit III; recipient of 1995 Eleanor Long Teacher of the Year Award for PA Educators of Students with Visual Impairments and 1995 Annie Sullivan Award from Allegheny Intermediate Unit, early intervention teacher of children (birth-3) with visual impairments, instructor of graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Education. She earned an undergraduate degree at Slippery Rock College and graduate degrees at the University of Pittsburgh. Lynn was a longtime active member of Zion Lutheran Church of Penn Hills and Faith Lutheran Church of Upper St. Clair. ALLEN WILLIAM R., Sr. HELEN A. (LEITL) William, age 92 passed on Saturday, January 10, 2015, and his beloved wife of 70 years, Helen, age 91, passed two days later on Monday, January 12, 2015, residents of Bethel Park. They are survived by their loving children, Wayne (MaryAnn) Allen, Anita (John) Wiehagen, William R. (the late Jo Ann) Allen, Jr., Laura (Corey) Hayes, and Richard (Lisa) Allen; six grandchildren, Wayne, Jr., Brian, Rachel, Jason, Wyett, and Gretchen; and 11 great-grandchildren, Cara, Jack, Maddox, Sarah, Bodhi, Cole, Zane, Gabriella, Drake, Samuel, and Gabriel. When Bill and Helen served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, they met in the records office where Helen was stationed. They were married on December 23, 1944, by Bill's ship Captain with the promise of a church ceremony upon discharge. They loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and camping.
