Mr. Betlyn was a corporate pilot for Blanox Corp., National Steel Corp. and flew with the Saudia Airlines for the private sector for the Shaeikes and was a member of the Air National Guard and the Naval Reserves Seabees. He was a member Zion Lutheran Church in Coraopolis and F&AM Masonic Lodge of Coraopolis #674. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Mary Jane (Webb) Betlyn; son, US Army Lt. Col. Thomas J. (Chandra) Betlyn of Ellwood City and daughter, Becky E. Betlyn of Findlay Twp.; sisters and brother, Dorothy Betlyn, Rachel (Adam) Azzizi and Carolyn Betlyn, all of Moon Twp., Dinah (Bryce) Mutch of GA; brother, Daniel (Nancy) Betlyn of WV.
